At least three layers
  If you cut the mask apart, you can see that there are at least 3 layers of non-woven fabrics. This number of layers is required by production regulations, at least three layers.

  Let’s look at the inferior masks that are exposed on the market and use only one layer of non-woven fabric, which is a serious cut corner by unscrupulous manufacturers...

What is "non-woven fabric"
  "Non-woven fabrics" (also called "non-woven fabrics") are named after the production process. This kind of fabric is not woven. All kinds of clothes we often wear, cotton, linen, and silk are always formed by a little bit of weaving on the machine, such as the typical lace mesh, which is woven.

  The hole card system allows the machine to repeatedly weave the same pattern without going wrong, and the beautiful lace pattern gradually takes shape. The "non-woven fabric" is similar to the needle-punching method we use to make felt. There is no knitting. It uses N needles to brush and poke, to make the cotton structure tangled and solidified, and then processed into Such a flat cloth. This is not a precious material. Most of the "environmental protection bags" that grandparents go to participate in health activities for the elderly are made of "non-woven fabrics." So why are masks still in short supply after so many days? Because the market is in short supply...As a one-time consumable, billions of people across the country want to have a few manpower every day. Sudden explosive demand, coupled with the tight supply of raw materials, has caused major manufacturing countries to resume work urgently and rush around the clock , Can't be supplied for a while...

Merge three layers

Such three-layer non-woven fabric materials are laminated together through a production machine like the one shown above. Have you noticed the small speaker in the upper left corner of this machine? There is a string of wires passing through the bell mouth and sending it in.

Sew into the nose clip

  This depends on the second structure of the mask: the bendable metal wire on the upper part of the mask. When wearing it, pinch the nose clip to fix it to the bridge of the nose, so that the mask can be worn tightly. Otherwise, if there is no such structure, the air leakage of my collapsed nose is more serious, and the sealing is not tight, which affects the protective effect...

Stacked part
  The main part of the mask is the layered structure shown in the figure below. It is stretched to completely cover the nose and mouth, and the face is big and not afraid. The section of this laminated structure is so long, which requires a machine folding link. It is the mechanical design shown in the figure below. There are three adjustable bevels. Set a small bevel, so that large sheets of non-woven fabrics are gradually narrowed from left to right to form a "folding structure" along these bevels. Come. Then there is a stage of pressing to flatten the surface of the mask. In the cutting process, the individual cutting and seaming of masks are mostly fully automated and without manual processing. And different masks have slight manufacturing differences, some are seamed, and some are directly hot-pressed and glued, with small details. What comes out is a single mask body.   Two large rolls of non-woven fabrics left and right, waiting to reinforce the edges of the mask. After one side is wrapped, immediately flatten and bond. The masks that came out at this time, which had been cut, were once again connected together. This is really a passionate and empty hate since ancient times. This hate will last forever... So there is still a link to cut and strengthen the sides.

Hot pressing fixed ear rope
  Adhesive is also needed on the edge of the mask. As shown in the picture below, the mechanical claws here send the ear straps, and the adhesive underneath is used to fix the ear straps on the mask. This will give a flat mask. Even if the production is complete.

  Of course, we will also ask for our "manual quality inspection" later. In recent mask factory news, we often see employees pulling ear straps to test or organize masks. Some cuties are worried about sterility. Don’t worry, they will be sent for disinfection again.

Open mask

Before disinfection, let's look at the production of an open mask, which is commonly used in anti-smog masks or with higher protection specifications, such as those with breathing valves. The feed in the picture below can be seen very clearly. There are 5 rolls of non-woven fabric on the right, indicating a 5-layer structure, and the orange turntable enters the metal wire at the nose clip.

Speaking of non-woven fabrics, have you heard old people complain that this kind of environmental protection bag is not strong, and it is easy to break after using it several times? Generally, fragile non-woven fabrics do not need high-temperature disinfection, and use the colorless gas "ethylene oxide" to kill bacteria, molds and fungi.
